5 Early-Stage Preventive Health Startups Turning Health Data Into Action
DealBio tracks early-stage preventive health startups across Europe and North America. These 5 turn measurements and health signals into guidance, risk estimates, monitoring workflows and practical next steps.

Preventive health is increasingly shaped by data collected before a serious event or diagnosis: blood markers, ECG traces, home blood-pressure readings, workplace-health signals and molecular measurements. The opportunity is not simply to generate more information, but to make that information useful enough to change what a person, clinician or employer does next.
The five startups below take different routes into that problem. Some sit directly in clinical workflows, while others reach consumers or employees. Their shared thesis is that health data becomes more valuable when it is translated into a decision, a behavior, a follow-up action or a clearer reason to investigate further.

Why Mito Health stands out
Mito Health combines consumer access with a large testing catalogue and a membership model built around at-cost labs and scans. The live DealBio Brief reports more than one million lab tests run since 2023, service across all 50 US states through partner laboratories, and $4 million raised, including a $2.2 million seed round in March 2025.
The founding team adds execution history beyond health testing. Kenneth Lou previously built Seedly past 1.1 million monthly users before its sale, while Joel Kek led Singapore's TraceTogether technology effort. Mito Health is also backed by Y Combinator and works with BodySpec and Prenuvo as part of its broader testing and scan offering.
What Mito Health is building
Customers can order individual tests or personalized blood panels, while members receive at-cost pricing and ongoing guidance based on their results. Every order is physician-reviewed. Results feed longitudinal tracking, personalized action plans and AI-supported guidance, with clinician consultations available when needed. Mito Health has also added at-home blood collection, widening access beyond conventional lab visits.

Why OneCareAI stands out
OneCareAI uses an existing cardiovascular signal as the starting point for prevention. Its GALEN technology originated at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and the live Brief reports clinical pilot or validation work with Hospital de Sant Pau, Bellvitge and Niguarda Hospital in Milan.
The startup has also moved beyond small research datasets: more than 3,000 people registered for a government-backed wearable study. That combination gives OneCareAI an early route to test whether clinical AI can fit into real cardiovascular data collection and prevention workflows.
What OneCareAI is building
INVICTUS analyzes a single ECG recording with the GALEN AI model and can combine the trace with genetic, molecular, clinical and lifestyle data. The software is designed to work with conventional ECG machines and compatible wearables, then return a personalized stroke-risk estimate and alert clinicians when further investigation or preventive care may be warranted.

Why GoEcoFit stands out
GoEcoFit puts prevention inside an employer-paid workflow rather than relying only on individual consumer demand. The live Brief reports a one-year workplace-health contract with BioPark Regensburg covering the platform and two blood analyses, alongside an exclusive partnership with lifespin for metabolomic testing.
The startup's pre-founding work was also supported through Germany's EXIST Startup Grant. That gives GoEcoFit a clear distribution thesis: employers buy the platform, while employees receive ongoing digital guidance and optional biological measurement.
What GoEcoFit is building
The platform combines an employee mobile app with an employer dashboard. AURA, its AI health coach, provides guidance across fitness, mindfulness and nutrition, while challenges, activity tracking and micro-learning are designed to sustain engagement. Employers can add lifespin's MetaboPRO blood analysis, which measures more than 250 biomarkers and produces a metabolic-health report that can be used to personalize support.

Why HealthNest stands out
HealthNest has already launched on iOS and Android, moving the startup beyond a pre-launch concept. Its live Brief says the app was co-designed with more than 100 patients and healthcare professionals and that the team was selected for [DigitalHealth.
London's Launchpad](https://digitalhealth.london/).The founders also bring direct NHS experience. Adam Wright worked as a doctor and GP and was selected for the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, while Yifan Jia combines frontline clinical work with an academic pathway.
What HealthNest is building
HealthNest structures home blood-pressure monitoring into a repeatable workflow. Users can log readings, add context, review daily and weekly trends, receive medication reminders and export shareable reports for clinicians. The product is designed to turn isolated home measurements into information that can support routine follow-up rather than remain disconnected from care.

Why BASE4 Biosciences stands out
BASE4 Biosciences is built around blood-based biological modeling rather than a single conventional laboratory marker. The live Brief reports a $1 million pre-seed round, transferred IP from Institut de Recerca Sant Pau for blood-based tissue modeling, and scientific roots in sex-specific research across 44 human tissues.
The founding team combines startup building with genomics and bioinformatics. Pol Cervera previously co-founded a blood-analysis startup, while José Manuel Soria and Ángel Martínez-Pérez bring long-running research experience in personalized medicine, genetics and computational biology.
What BASE4 Biosciences is building
BASE4 Biosciences analyzes blood-based gene activity and other molecular signals with AI models tailored by sex. The platform combines transcriptomic and genetic information to estimate the functional state and biological age of multiple tissues, then links organ-level signals with molecular pathways. Its reproductive-health and preventive-health outputs are informational and intended for discussion with a qualified healthcare professional.
Deal Sourcing for Investors
Looking for More Startups Like These?
DealBio helps investment teams discover, research, and monitor early-stage healthcare and life sciences startups aligned with their investment criteria.
Investment perspective
The common investment pattern is a move from measurement toward interpretation and action. Raw health data is becoming easier to collect, but each startup still has to prove that its interpretation changes a useful next step: a clinician investigates, a consumer follows a clearer plan, an employer sustains participation, or a patient brings better-structured information into routine care.
That makes workflow fit as important as the data layer itself. Mito Health and BASE4 Biosciences are building interpretation around blood-derived information; OneCareAI inserts prediction into cardiovascular workflows; HealthNest organizes repeated home measurements; and GoEcoFit connects digital engagement with employer-funded prevention. For investors, the strongest signal is not the volume of data collected, but whether the product can repeatedly convert that data into a decision users trust and act on.
Methodology
DealBio selected these five early-stage health startups because each uses personal or population health data as an input to a preventive action, decision or monitoring workflow. The selection spans consumer testing, clinical risk prediction, workplace prevention, home blood-pressure management and molecular organ-aging analysis.
