5 Early-Stage Remote Patient Monitoring Startups Moving Care Into the Home
DealBio tracks early-stage remote patient monitoring and home-care startups across Europe and North America. These 5 are moving defined parts of pregnancy, cardiovascular and sleep care into the home while keeping clinicians connected to the pathway.

Remote patient monitoring
The opportunity is broader than continuous sensing alone. Across this group, the same home-care shift includes wearable physiological monitoring, structured blood-pressure tracking, home sleep diagnostics and nightly therapy. The common investment question is whether moving care home improves capacity and continuity without transferring unsafe complexity to the patient.

Why CHD stands out
CHD is developing remote monitoring specifically for high-risk pregnancy, where repeated maternal and fetal checks can otherwise require frequent hospital attendance. MONI2 combines a washable smart-textile belt with separate patient and clinician interfaces so monitoring can happen during daily life under professional oversight.
The startup has moved beyond a concept-only stage. Venture Kick awarded CHF 40,000 through Stage II, and CHD signed a data agreement with CIC-IT, the Lille hospital and university research partnership, to support development and validation of predictive pregnancy indicators.
What CHD is building
MONI2 uses dry abdominal sensors to collect maternal and fetal ECG signals, uterine contractions and fetal movements. The patient app is designed to show simplified information while clinicians review detailed medical data through a secure web platform.
Algorithms under development aim to identify warning signs of pregnancy complications, including preterm birth. The product therefore combines wearable monitoring with a clinical remote patient monitoring workflow rather than positioning the belt as a consumer self-tracking device.

02
PrecorDx
Developing a wearable radio-frequency sensor for home heart-function monitoring.

Why PrecorDx stands out
PrecorDx is translating UMC Utrecht sensing research into a wearable that can track cardiac and respiratory motion without an implanted sensor. Patient data presented in 2026 showed its radio-frequency signal tracking changes in stroke volume and respiratory motion during catheter-lab procedures and haemodialysis.
The core sensing technology is protected by granted patents, while NWO Take-off and Health~Holland support have helped move the platform into clinical validation. The founding team combines cardiovascular imaging, engineering, clinical research and commercialization experience.
What PrecorDx is building
A small chest-worn antenna sends low-power radio waves into the body and measures changes in the reflected signal as the heart and lungs move. The prototype is being compared with echocardiography, MRI and catheter measurements to validate the wearable signal against established measures of cardiac function and pressure.
PrecorDx is initially targeting home heart-failure monitoring, with atrial fibrillation as a second application. Repeated measurements could give clinicians a denser view of cardiovascular status between hospital assessments.

Why HealthNest stands out
HealthNest has already launched its blood-pressure companion app on iOS and Android after co-designing it with more than 100 patients and healthcare professionals. The product focuses on an established home-monitoring workflow rather than asking users to adopt a new measurement modality.
The founders are NHS-trained doctors, and Adam Wright joined the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme. That clinical background is reflected in a product built around measurement consistency, medication routines, trend interpretation and reports that can be brought back into routine care.
What HealthNest is building
HealthNest lets users record blood-pressure readings, review daily and weekly trends, set medication reminders and access clinician-written education. It can also generate shareable summaries that bring structured home data into GP or clinician appointments.
The current product is software-led, while the startup also plans connected blood-pressure and ECG hardware and a clinician-facing offering. The near-term value proposition is improving the quality and continuity of measurements patients already collect at home.

Why Theta Sleep stands out
Theta Sleep has assembled the operational pieces needed to move a specialist sleep-apnoea pathway into the home. Ramsay Health Care uses the service for remote sleep studies, and the startup can provide either the complete pathway or individual modules to healthcare providers.
The model is therefore about clinical capacity as much as digital access. Theta Sleep reports a six-week pathway versus an 87-week NHS average, while its founding team combines sleep-medicine experience with product and engineering backgrounds.
What Theta Sleep is building
Patients begin with digital education and triage before completing a home sleep test selected around clinical need. A specialist doctor reviews the results remotely, discusses the care plan and arranges treatment when required.
The service can support home sleep testing, respiratory polygraphy or full polysomnography, with diagnostic equipment and treatment equipment delivered to the patient. This keeps the pathway clinically governed while reducing dependence on hospital sleep-laboratory capacity.

Why Suenia Sleep Solutions stands out
Suenia Sleep Solutions is developing a home-used medical device inside a specialist-led care pathway. Its personalized mandibular-advancement appliance is fitted and adjusted through sleep and dental professionals rather than sold as an off-the-shelf consumer product.
Founder Daniel Fernández Fajardo brings more than a decade of product-development experience through 3DALIA, spanning design, prototyping and industrialization. Suenia states that its fitting approach uses patented technology to determine each patient’s therapeutic jaw position.
What Suenia Sleep Solutions is building
The oral appliance advances the lower jaw during sleep to create more space in the upper airway and reduce the collapse that interrupts breathing in obstructive sleep apnoea. The pathway combines specialist assessment, personalized fitting and follow-up.
The treatment itself happens at home every night, while clinical review remains connected to sleep and dental professionals. Suenia therefore sits at the home-treatment end of the article's thesis rather than the continuous-monitoring end.
Deal Sourcing for Investors
Looking for More Startups Like These?
DealBio helps investment teams discover, research, and monitor early-stage healthcare and life sciences startups aligned with their investment criteria.
Investment perspective
The strongest pattern across this group is not simply that care is moving into the home. It is that the home is becoming an extension of an existing clinical pathway. Pregnancy and heart monitoring create more observations between visits; blood-pressure software structures measurements patients already make; sleep diagnostics relocate a specialist workflow; and oral-appliance therapy moves nightly treatment home while preserving professional fitting and follow-up.
For investors, the most important distinction is what resource each model frees. A product can reduce hospital visits, increase measurement density, relieve diagnostic bottlenecks or make ongoing treatment easier to deliver. The more clearly a startup can connect home use to clinical capacity, usable data and a defined buyer or reimbursement pathway, the stronger the remote-care proposition becomes.
Methodology
DealBio selected these five early-stage startups because each moves a defined monitoring, diagnostic or treatment activity into the home while retaining a connection to professional care. The selection spans pregnancy monitoring, cardiovascular monitoring and management, home sleep diagnostics and home sleep-apnoea treatment.
