Medespro has launched VulnaCurae Light, a mobile app for documenting chronic wounds at home. Patients or relatives photograph the wound, record key assessment fields, and build a shareable history for the care team. Each entry takes around two minutes.

Most wound-documentation software is built for healthcare professionals. VulnaCurae is designed for patients and relatives to use at home without training, extending documentation between appointments and nursing visits.
A structured record across treatment
Each dated entry combines a wound image with dimensions, pain, and other assessment fields. The app charts wound size and pain over time and produces a report that can be shared with the treating team.
Sensitive images processed on the device
Image processing takes place on the user's phone, so wound photographs do not need to be uploaded to an external server. VulnaCurae Light is CE-marked as a Class I medical device and available on iOS and Android.

Around 1.07 million people in Germany had a chronic wound in 2021, while the median treatment episode lasted 130 days. Approximately one-third of these patients received care at home from a nursing service, and nearly half of chronic-wound spending went to inpatient care.
German home-nursing rules require structured records covering wound type, dimensions, tissue, exudate, pain and signs of inflammation.
