Turning medical records into structured datasets for care and research
Clinical information is often recorded as free text in operative reports, clinical notes and PDFs. Turning these documents into research datasets requires manual reading and data entry, slowing cohort creation and making existing patient histories harder to use for research.
MAGE-X turns unstructured medical records into structured, pseudonymised clinical data. Its software helps clinicians review patient histories and enables hospitals and healthcare researchers to build datasets for registries and real-world studies.
What stands out about MAGE-X
Signed a 2026 partnership with EUROSPINE to automate the Spine Tango registry and support multicentre spine research.
Evaluated automated data structuring in the single-centre MAGARC study using 9,090 records and 18 clinical dimensions.
Co-founded by spine surgeon Hadrien Giorgi, who practises at Marseille's Hôpital Saint Joseph.
