Developing microbiome-derived treatments aimed at preventing eczema flare-ups
Inflammatory skin conditions cause itching, pain and recurring flare-ups that can disrupt sleep, work and social life. Existing treatments can provide relief, but many address symptoms after a flare begins. Recurrence remains a challenge for people living with these long-term conditions.
Lutèo Medical is developing microbiome-derived treatments for inflammatory skin conditions. Its preclinical lead programme, LUT101, targets Staphylococcus aureus using technology derived from the healthy skin microbiome, aiming to prevent eczema flare-ups.
