Developing therapies to help immune cells penetrate solid tumours
Solid tumours create physical and biological barriers that limit access for treatments and immune cells. These barriers can reduce the effectiveness of cancer therapies. Increasing treatment doses can add toxicity without ensuring better results.
IterOnco is developing Itero-101 to reshape the tissue around solid tumours and help immune cells enter them, initially targeting pancreatic cancer. It is also developing a platform to expand natural killer cells for use in cell therapy.
What stands out about IterOnco
Reports increased tumour immune-cell infiltration with Itero-101 plus NK cell transfer in a mouse model of pancreatic cancer.
Collaborates with LBPA at ENS Paris-Saclay/CNRS on NK cell expansion and Luxembourg Institute of Health on tumour microenvironment remodeling.
Receives deeptech incubation and strategic support from IncubAlliance Paris-Saclay.
Founded by Manale Karam, who holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Oncology and has 16 years of international research experience.
