Developing pulsatile hormone therapy for cognitive impairment
Chromosomal disorders such as Down syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome can cause intellectual disability and cognitive difficulties. Prader-Willi syndrome also causes excessive hunger and severe obesity, adding physical health challenges to cognitive needs.
GnRHope Therapeutics is developing therapy that delivers pulses of the hormone GnRH. It aims to improve or preserve cognitive function in conditions such as Prader-Willi syndrome and Down syndrome by restoring the hormone's natural rhythm.
