Developing a device to remove cancer-promoting molecules around solid tumours
Solid tumours can produce molecules that prevent the immune system from recognising and attacking cancer cells. Multiple molecules contribute to this protective environment, creating several pathways for tumour growth and immune evasion.
FOSCA BioTech is developing a 3D-printed device to remove cancer-promoting molecules from the environment around solid tumours. Its approach aims to reduce local immune suppression so the immune system can better recognise and attack cancer cells.
