Dental Robotics

Building a portable 3-in-1 dental system for preventive care outside clinics

Dental CarePreventive HealthMedical Devices

Routine dental care remains difficult to access for patients facing travel barriers, limited local providers or difficulty visiting fixed clinics. Preventive care still depends heavily on clinic-based equipment and workflows, leaving mobile providers, workplaces and care facilities with bulky or fragmented setups that are difficult to deploy.

Dental Robotics is developing Claire, a portable 3-in-1 system for professional preventive care outside fixed clinics. It combines the core equipment for hygiene, imaging and selected basic treatments in a transportable setup designed for homes, workplaces and care facilities.

Product

Dental Robotics is developing Claire, a 19.9 kg portable dental system for professional care outside fixed clinics. Its treatment unit combines suction, an , a and an , with a portable chair, stool and tablet control.

Four clinical tools in one 8.6 kg unit

The treatment unit integrates 300 l/min suction, a 28 kHz ultrasonic scaler, a micromotor running up to 20,000 RPM and a 1920 × 1080 intraoral camera in one compact system.

Complete 19.9 kg treatment setup

The full setup combines the 8.6 kg treatment unit with a portable dental chair and 1.5 kg folding stool. The stool supports up to 150 kg and the unit attaches to the chair with one click.

Plug-and-play, tablet-controlled workflow

Clean and waste-water reservoirs plus mains power remove the need for fixed dental plumbing. Tablet control supports setup and image capture for documentation and remote dentist review.

Market Overview

Oral diseases are largely preventable, yet routine care remains difficult to access where dental workforces and facilities are limited. WHO identifies untreated caries in permanent teeth as the world’s most common health condition, while many low- and middle-income countries lack sufficient oral-health services for prevention and treatment.

In the United States, regulation and provider models are widening the settings where preventive dental care can be delivered. Most states allow some form of dental-hygienist , while operators such as Onsite Dental use mobile and workplace models, creating an established provider base for portable equipment.
