Developing a transfer aid to help people with reduced mobility stand independently
People with reduced mobility can need another person’s help to move from lying down to standing, limiting independence in daily life. Repeated lifting and transfers also place substantial physical strain on caregivers and healthcare staff, increasing their risk of back pain and other musculoskeletal injuries.
Aydonie Medical is developing a transfer aid to help people move from lying down to standing independently. Designed to work with existing care equipment, it aims to restore everyday autonomy while reducing the physical strain of lifting on caregivers.
