Developing a wearable lung-sound monitor to warn of COPD deterioration
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) makes breathing increasingly difficult. Symptoms usually worsen over time and make daily activities harder. Patients can also experience sudden flare-ups, often several times a year, particularly in winter.
Auscora is developing a wearable chest patch that continuously monitors lung sounds in people with COPD. It aims to identify deterioration and alert clinicians before a crisis, supporting earlier assessment of worsening respiratory health.
