Developing software to guide spinal cord stimulation patient selection and care
Neuropathic pain is difficult to recognize and diagnose, delaying appropriate treatment. Identifying patients who could benefit from spinal cord stimulation remains challenging, and referrals often follow long, ineffective treatment pathways.
Ankerias is developing an AI-assisted platform combining patient reports, physiological signals and monitoring data. It is designed to help clinicians assess neuropathic pain, select patients for spinal cord stimulation and optimize treatment.
What stands out about Ankerias
Conducted early-stage pilots with OuluHealth Labs in 2025, gathering input for platform development and further validation.
Received an Economic Development Centre grant for its neuropathic pain platform, under an EU-co-funded development project.
Built and tested its first clinical software MVP modules in 2025 for neuropathic pain monitoring and decision support.
