Simulating aortic stent-graft placement to help surgeons plan surgery
Patients have different vascular anatomies, but stents come in standard designs. A mismatch can cause complications and repeat procedures. Planning based on anatomy alone can miss how a stent-graft will interact with the aorta.
AllStent develops TEVAR-Twin software to simulate aortic stent-graft placement from pre-surgery CT images. Surgeons can compare device sizes and placement sites, with reports showing how the implant interacts with the aorta.
What stands out about AllStent
In 20 retrospective TEVAR cases using Valiant Captivia grafts, simulations showed 4.2% mean stent-ring opening-area error versus postoperative CT.
AllStent reports an exclusively developed and licensed IP estate underpinning its stent-planning technology.
