Developing ultrasound-guided allergy injections and planning needle-guidance software
Pollen allergy can cause sneezing, a blocked or runny nose, itchy eyes and tiredness, with symptoms lasting weeks or months. Allergen immunotherapy generally requires three to five years of treatment, creating a lengthy treatment commitment for patients.
AITSU is developing ultrasound-guided injections into lymph nodes to treat grass pollen allergy. Its planned software would identify lymph nodes and the needle in real time, helping clinicians guide injections to the intended site.
