Developing AI to predict antibiotic resistance and guide hospital treatment
Antibiotic resistance makes infections harder to treat and narrows patients' treatment options. Resistant infections can increase the risk of severe illness and death, prolong hospital stays and raise healthcare costs. Misuse and overuse of antimicrobials drive the spread of resistance.
Aeris develops clinical decision support that uses hospital records to predict antibiotic resistance and guide treatment choices. Its platform combines patient alerts with microbiology trends and antibiotic-use indicators for hospital care teams.
